PRAYER FORCE
Taming One's Tongue Our
Prayer
Force is
one that is desperately needed today because of what we are encountering
everyday. In Taming
One’s Tongue we
need to see how subtle the enemy can be to have you engage in
conversations that have the potential to ruin and destroy your soul!
This is a matter of great importance that we believers must take hold of
to safe guard our souls. You do realize that words are creative,
and when spoken they can build things,
people,
places,
and whatever
else we
desire. On the same token, words can be used to destroy
and be an
instrument of destruction.
Hence it is imperative that we all learn how to control our tongue
because if it is given free course, it has the capability of being an
instrument for dispensing deadly
poison!
Please see the seriousness in this lesson because history has recorded
stories which we can examine to see what occurred to those who used
their tongue in the wrong way. The children of Israel kept murmuring in
the wilderness, and what did it get them?, graves
in the desert.
Korah spoke out against God when he accused Moses, and what happened to
him and his congregation of 250 smack,
smash
mouth talkers?
An express elevator to hell. Taming
One’s Tongue is
not a suggestion but a
command!
Unless we totally submit to God we will
never be able to tame our tongue.
Here is what scripture says about the tongue: “And
the tongue is a fire. (The tongue is a) world of wickedness set among
our members, contaminating and depraving the whole body and setting on
fire the wheel of birth (the cycle of man’s nature), being itself
ignited by hell (Gehenna).”
James 3:6 Amplified. Wow, that’s a mouthful (no
pun intended).
Our tongue should be used to
worship God and
bless
people.
We can also utilize it to
build people for the Kingdom of God.
Each day we must monitor
and guard
what our tongue will say so we
don’t condemn ourselves.
Taming
One’s Tongue is
our individual duty as believers in Jesus.

April 19 to April 25, 2009 The Accuser of the Brethren “And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now
is come salvation, and strength, and the Kingdom of our God, and the
power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which
accused them before our God day and night.” Revelation 12:10
The enemy of our souls is known by many names, but the one we desire to
highlight is found here in our scripture verse; satan is The
Accuser Of Our Brethren.
In fact he does so both day
and night,
he is relentless! Can you imagine someone coming before God to accuse
you of whatever thing you’ve done wrong, irregardless
of it’s magnitude.
How can he do this? Well, he
must have his people watching your every move because
we know that he is
not omnipresent.
So there he is with a file on your life, and like a vindictive
prosecutor he brings out all of his accusations, hopeful that Abba will
decide in his favor and cut
you off from obtaining your blessings.
This is why it is very important that we
daily
confess
our sins,
faults,
failures,
and shortcomings.
Do not give place to The
Accuser Of The Brethren! There
is one motive he has concerning every
single one of us;
he wants to see us judged for
disobeying God, and
cast
into hell.
This accuser is cunning because he will insinuate things concerning
either you,
other
people,
or God
with the hopes of you believing and acting
out upon it.
Look at how fast he moved in Judas’ life, and within
hours
he hung himself! Judas was once a believer but he gave place to the
accuser and paid
a hefty price for disobeying the will of God.
Do you think we are exempt? Sadly we must admit that we also have the
potential of becoming The
Accuser Of The Brethren whenever
we believe lies,
thoughts,
imaginations,
or stories
told by those who
sow discord amongst the brethren.
Be careful because we have seen this happen on many occasions right here
at Grace. Don’t become The
Accuser Of The Brethren!
